New SAT paying off for test-prep industry

Only one answer per question is correct. And early feedback from students who have already taken it is positive.. Shouldn't the stupid kids be forced to remember all this?

The Hockaday School prefers that students take one of the standardized entrance tests twice, three if you count the mock test in the fall. Bear in mind that you may need to allow yourself more latitude and ambition than usual. Most students tend to need some additional help to pinpoint their weaknesses and teach them skills and strategies.

Indeed there is a paucity of words like paucity. After first facing a 65-minute, 52-question Reading test containing 5 long passages (some accompanied by charts), students then advance to a 35-minute, 44-question Writing and Language test containing 4 more passages. Comprehensions, Logical Reasoning and Analytical Aptitude are becoming the backbone of the CSAT Paper.

Besides complexity another issue is that the questions in these books were not tested on students.

How long is the SAT?. On one hand, I’m at heart a Common Core apologist.

SAT is a gateway to US.

Perhaps the only incentive is for the strong testers who might have a chance to “clean house” on the new SAT if there is a talent flight towards the ACT and the current SAT.

NTSE 2013 Paper Solutions are given below for both Stage I and Stage II Examination.. Do I believe the better-aligned SAT will give us a better prediction of college preparedness? Yes, I do..

The latter approach will yield a more complete picture of a student’s comprehension, but it makes for a test that may scare off many potential customers..
